based on imagery from the film, the man who laughs. its 1920's just when movies were going from silent to sound...
the main character of the film is a man who has a permanent ear to ear grin. it is pretty insane looking! my uncle has been recently obsessed with the film. i made a couple of small paintings based on the main character...this one doesn't really look too much like him...but i like it so i will probably keep this for myself and give him the other one...which is still drying. 8x10 SOLD on etsy 2008 add my facebook page...
